Navigation and layout
Learn what lives in the sidebar, top bar, toolbar, and command palette.
What is in the left sidebar?
- Views: switch between Schedule and List.
- Workspace: open Templates and Resources when you are not in a shared project.
- Projects: switch active projects, create a new project, open project settings, or delete a project.
- User footer: shows the signed-in user and sign-out control.
- Shared footer: shows whether the shared session is Editor or View only.
What is in the top bar?
- Project subtitle and project title.
- Current project status chip.
- Selected holiday country flags when holidays are enabled.
- Search button that opens the command palette.
- Share button for project owners.
- Shared role badge for people opening a shared schedule.
- Export button for PDF output.
- Mobile menu button for opening the sidebar on smaller screens.
What is in the schedule toolbar?
- Today: jump the schedule anchor back to today.
- Previous and next arrows: move the current date range backward or forward.
- Date label: shows the current visible range.
- Day and Week controls: switch schedule scale.
- Zoom controls: shrink or enlarge the horizontal day width from 50% to 200%.
- Filter: filter visible tasks by row and department.
- Group and Flat controls: switch between department rows and one-row-per-task layout.
- View: open display settings, theme settings, and holiday setup.
- Save as template: save the current project as a reusable template.
- New task: create a task on the last-used row or the first row in the active project.
What is the command palette?
The command palette opens from the search button or Ctrl+K. It can navigate between Schedule and List, switch projects, open actions, run Undo and Redo, and jump to matching tasks. Task results include the row name and start date.
What actions appear in the command palette?
| Navigate | Schedule view and List view. |
| Projects | Every project available in the workspace. |
| Actions | Export to PDF, Share project, Template library, Manage resources, Set holidays, Project settings, Undo, and Redo. Owner-only actions are hidden in shared mode. |
| Tasks | Matching tasks when you type a search query. Selecting one opens the task drawer for that task. |
