Multi-row work

Events

Plan milestones and production moments that may span multiple rows.

What is an event?

An event is a schedule item designed for milestones that can cover several rows at once: shoot blocks, reviews, dailies, table reads, approvals, or shared production moments.

How do I create an event?

  • Create or open a task.
  • In the task drawer, switch Type from Task to Event.
  • The event uses event styling so it stands apart from regular task bars.

How do I make an event span multiple rows?

In grouped view, drag the bottom edge of an event downward. Skedy creates or updates an event group and links the visible row members together.

How do event groups behave?

  • The top visible member acts as the anchor for the multi-row event display.
  • Non-anchor members are hidden behind the combined event bar in grouped view.
  • Date edits on one event group member synchronize to the rest of the group.
  • Deleting an event removes the event group members together.
  • Flat view shows the event only once by event group id.

What is different about events in Flat mode?

  • A multi-row event appears once, not once for every backing row.
  • The bottom drag handle is not shown.
  • Downward row spanning is disabled.
  • Duplicate, paste-as-duplicate, and repeat are disabled for events while Flat mode is active.
  • Horizontal movement and date resizing remain available.
